I have just come across this site, wow some surprise. I served on Relentless whilst she was in Rosyth and did the west Indies patrol I think 63/64. will check my records when I get home. Not sure what mess i was in but remember Nigel Pearn, Baggsy Baker, paddy Mitchel. Sorry I was a JMEM(2) at that time I have several names in my head but will sit back in case I have ships mixed up.Will look what pictures I may have . Cheers.

FYI my Dad served in Relentless when I commanded a pedal car around 1955. He has since crossed the bar but he was Sam Bostel. My letters were addressed to the ERA's mess. I recall the ship based at Londonderry & I think Rosyth. Sam left Relentless for Shackleton, then came out in 1958 to work for the CEGB. Same 'ole just bigger engine kit. He died aged 84.

My Father in Law, Dereck Bolt, known as Jimmy, served on H.M.S. Relentless 1943-1946 as a Stoker. He has many stories to tell of that time, but unfortunately the crew of those times have faded away.Should any person have info' of crew during 43-46 please advise, thank you.

Served on Relentless 8th.May 1963 - 8th.January 1964 at Rosyth to take her out reserve, trials and re- commission; but unfortunely after about 40 of us were drafted on board, their Lordships decided to put her back into reserve after we had completed the trials. With only 40 crew we had to borrow the rest from H.M.S. Cochrane. I'm trying to locate the 40; there is't any of them in the Membership List apart from me,so if you are out there, get in touch or better still join the Association.
