Had 3 Type 15's -
Really super ships!!

Vigilant - June-Dec 1962 (first ship) as JTO. Hammocks in after mess as far as I remember!
Whirlwind - Feb 64 - Mar 66 as RO2(T) - 6 months Home and 9 months West Indies over the period - open top bridge - with Relentless in Windies. I think my best time in the mob - 3 ships in the West Indies at that time - 1 AMP Bermuda/1 Bahamas Patrol/ and 1 'Showing the flag - Trindad/BVI, etc. Nowadadays people pay thousands for cruising around the islands where we got paid for doing the same - cricket in Jamaica/banyaning on Cay Sal - a week in New Orleans when The Beatles first went to USA - what a run ashore!! remember it all like yesterday!!
Rapid - Feb-Oct 70. Last day of The Tot - RA on the Rapid!!

All enjoy your Reunion in October.

My late father Ken Bennett (Wiggy) served on Relentless 1944-45. Torpedos was his primary action station but was trained as a sparky (because he was too deaf to be a wireless operator!). Got memories of his wartime service on board Relentless & also HMS Sussex. Also got a few photos of shipmates. Lots of memories when in Simonstown & Durban & HMS Africander & rest camps in South Africa.
